Ok time for a quick lesson. Up until a few years ago I had no idea what a dam was or how it worked. A dam is a sheet of latex that is place over the vulva or anal area during oral sex. It acts as barrier and aids in the prevention of transmitting STDs. Many people don't realise that you can catch STD's such as genital herpes, chlamydia, syphillis and gonorrhoea from oral sex.
